Congratulations on Stop, Drop & Running!!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  We hope that you had as much fun as we did yesterday at the 5th annual Stop, Drop & Run 5k.  Seeing the community come out and support their volunteer firefighters was truly awe-inspiring.  There are a few things we wanted to touch on though after the race.

1.) Registration for 2018

Registration is now open for the 2018 Stop, Drop & Run 5k on October 13, 2018.  Look inside of your runner bags for a coupon that will save you 20% off this week off of the already discounted early bird pricing.

2.) Please complete this year’s survey

We try to grow and improve each and every year and we can’t do that without your feedback.  Please complete this year’s survey and you will be entered to win a free registration for 2018.

3.) Photos!!!

We know that you are anxiously awaiting photos, and so are we.  We have received some of the photos, but haven’t received them from all the photographers yet.  At this time we are researching new methods of getting the photos out to you that could possibly include integrated social media sharing, tagging, and searching by bib number to find yourself.

Now for some bad news.  After the race we came to realize that one of the cameras malfunctioned and didn’t save the images taken at the finishers banner.  We are taking that negative and trying to turn it into something positive.

New this year we are going to crowd-source images as well.  That’s right, we want to see the pictures that you took.  Whether it was pre-race images, warmup shots, images out on the course, or your finisher photos, we would love to see them!

Head over to our shared Google Images gallery and upload your images there. You will want to click on the “Add to Album” button in the upper right.

If you don’t have a google account we saved you the hassle of having to create one.
You can login and share with user name StopDropRunGuest@gmail.com with password SDR5K2017.

If you have any video, such a GoPro video, that you would be willing to share, please email Chris so we can setup a way to transfer the files. Once we have all of the images into gallery format we will be sending another email out.

4.) Results

The results for yesterday’s race is finalized and can be found here.

5.) Timing Chips

Please take a look through your belongings and see if you still have your timing chip. Quite a few are still missing.  If you do have a timing chip please let us know by emailing us at chris.shotter@monacafire.com .  If your chip was lost we will be sending an invoice from RunHigh (the timing company) for the lost chip fee of $25.

6.) Bags and Medals

If you weren’t able to make it yesterday and or had to leave and see that you placed, we will be scheduling times on Thursday evenings for you to pickup your bags and medals.  Let us know what Thursday evening works for you to come to the station by emailing the race director, Chris Shotter, at chris.shotter@monacafire.com

7.) Social Media

We are growing our social media presence over the next year.  So whether you use Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram please like or follow us on your accounts.

Be sure to continue following our website and social media accounts to stay tuned for new and exciting things throughout the year.
