Zechariah from Running for Heroes to Participate in 2019 Stop, Drop & Run

A few months back you may have seen we had a big announcement to make and today we are proud to announce that Zechariah Cartledge from Running for Heroes will be partaking in a special one mile run as part of the Stop, Drop & Run this year.

You may have heard about Zechariah this year, as he is the ten year old from Florida who has pledged to not only run one mile for every officer who died in the line of duty in 2018 and 2019, but also to raise $100 for each life as well to donate to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

We were so inspired by Zechariah that we have not only sponsored his trip to Pittsburgh to run for Pennsylvania’s first responders, but we will also be donating $1 for every participant towards his cause as well.

Zechariah’s one mile run will take place at 8:30 a.m. prior to the start of the Stop, Drop & Run 5k. All those who add this option to their registration will receive an additional t-shirt commemorating this special event.

Zechariah will also be participating in the Obstacle Challenge as well and would love to have firefighters and police officers run alongside him.  If you are interested in running with him during the Obstacle Challenge, please sign up for the 9:40 a.m. heat when registering.

If participating just in the Heroes One Mile Run the cost will be $15, if you are participating in other Stop, Drop & Run events the cost is then dropped to $10.
