Over the past two months we reached out to our community for support in the upcoming Stop, Drop & Run 5k Race. Today we received the great news that MSA (Mine Safety Appliances) has decided to partner with the Stop, Drop & Run 5k Race/Walk as an Assistant Chief Sponsor. Registration for the 2013 Stop, Drop & Run 5k Race/Walk is now open. Registration can either be completed online or by downloading the registration form and mailing it in. All registrations received prior to October 5th will receive an early bird discount and guaranteed a t-shirt. Firefighters also receive a 10% discount off registration.

This year will be the first year that Monaca #4 Volunteer Fire Department hosts a 5k race to benefit the fire department. In addition to this we will also be hosting a fire prevention on the same day. (More information regarding fire prevention will come out as we get closer to the race.) Since we are still in the initial stages of planning the race we asks that you please check back often as we will be updating our site and also our Facebook page regarding both events.
